Our educational philosophy is simple: To instill a lifelong love of learning, teach your child to be curious! Through our dozen-plus years of homeschooling, we have encouraged guided but independent exploration of many different subjects through reading, discussion, nature observation and field trips. We believe that one of the best ways to understand a topic and to retain information is by learning about it on your own and by making connections to things you already know. Everyday life experiences such as social interaction, home-keeping and good citizenship contribute to understanding the world around us and our place in it. Most importantly, we endeavor to filter everything we see, hear, read and think about through the lens of God’s Word. “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Prov. 22:6)
